DMX Passes At Age 50 Following Alleged Drug Overdose & Heart Attack

It was only reported Wednesday night that rapper DMX’s condition had shown no signs of improvement after going through a battery of brain tests. As his family was faced with the decision of ending life support, it is with sadness to share that the rap legend has passed away at the age of 50.

X, real name Earl Simmons, recently suffered a heart attack after an alleged drug overdose that took place nearly a week ago, on April 2nd. While X remained in a coma, his condition did not improve after critical tests were performed to determine his brain health.

Simmons will forever be remembered as a hip-hop legend whose aggression and vulnerability set him in a league of his own and allowed his fans to be captivated by his passion and pain.
