Legendary status should already be synonymous with Detroit icon Eminem, if it already isn’t.

Em has without a doubt blazed a path as one of hip-hop’s most eccentric and revered artists and his accolades show complete merit. The Oscar winning rapper recently dropped his 10th consecutive number one debuting album back in 2020, and it looks like the rap god’s long-standing compilation album has just made even more history.

The real Slim Shady continues to be in a league of his own with his Curtain Call: The Hits has secured a historic Billboard milestone as the project becomes the first hip-hop record to spend a full decade on the Billboard 200 chart. According to Chart Data and Forbes, Curtain Call reached 520 weeks on the latest chart dated March 27th, since debuting in the number one spot back in 2005. The album consists of the rapper’s most memorable hits, obviously, but he now is in the company of some major Rock-focused artists.

Em’s new feat serves as the sixth-longest-running album in Billboard 200 history, landing him behind Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon (958 weeks), Bob Marley and the Wailers’ Legend (669 weeks), Journey’s Greatest Hits (659 weeks), Metallica’s self-titled album or the Black Album (598 weeks), and Guns N Roses’ Greatest Hits (520 weeks).
