The late Kobe Bryant’s estate is looking to trademark the legend’s Mamba & Mambacita monikers.

An attorney for Kobe Bryant LLC filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office last week, on March 10, 2021, citing that the intention for the trademark will be used for clothing and shoes, namely shirts, skirts, pants, shorts, bottoms, socks, dresses, jackets, hoodies, etc. While there may be apparel lines in the works, which could include Mamba shoes and sportswear, according to TMZ, the Bryant family might have applied for the trademark as a means to block anyone else from using the name.

Since the tragic passing of the late NBA star Bryant and his daughter Gianna, back in January 2020, the estate has filed for several trademarks, including “Mamba Sports Academy,” “Mombasa,” “Lady Mambas,” “Lil Mambas” and much more.

In related news, Vanessa Bryant took to social media today to share court documents that name deputies who took photos of the Kobe crash site and revealed more details concerning the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.
