Continuing to follow the footsteps of legends in Hip Hop, Lazaris The Top Don is proud to represent the South Bronx with his lyrical talents. While many aspiring artists desire to make it big in the music industry, not many can say they have actually been honored by their city for their accomplishments to the music industry and dedication to the community.
Born and raised in New York, Lazaris The Top Don takes great pride representing the South Bronx and aspires to follow his family’s legacy of making music for the people. This half Cuban/half Boricuan artist is proud to represent his Latin heritage and is carrying to torch for his family which includes “The GodFather of Salsa” also known as Arsenio Rodriguez. In fact, Lazaris had the honor of representing his family during a historic street re-naming dedication between the streets of Dawson and Intervale in the South Bronx and most recently was honored by the Borough of the Bronx and the State of New York for his accomplishments to the community.
Lazaris truly knows the definition of hard-work and has entered some of the toughest MC Battles out there. Lazaris even entered “The Fight Club” which is exclusively by invite only to the toughest MC’s to showcase their skills. On this particular night, Lazaris’ craft was seen by the legend that we all know today as “Eminem”
Through his dedication to his craft, Lazaris The Top Don was invited to participate in the MC Cypher at the “Rock The Bells” event honoring Hip Hop’s Anniversary and proudly represented the Bronx. Lazaris has been featured in the biggest publications which include This is 50, Hip Hop Since 1987, The Source, Hip Hop Weekly, Billboard Hip Hop, Hot 97, Shade 45 and many more!
Showing no signs of slowing down, Lazaris recently released his hit single “Swipes” that has been widely praised within the Hip Hop community and has even been featured on Shade 45. This single talks about the perseverance of never giving up and grinding everyday to be successful.
Get ready for another hit single as Lazaris The Top Don teams up with Dyce Payso to debut “Knock It Off” scheduled to be released on 8/19/22. We had the exclusive opportunity to hear this single before its release and this single brings you a taste of real hip hop with both artists delivering impeccable bars with a dope beat that will make you want to put this song on repeat! “Knock It Off” amongst other singles will be part of the highly anticipated album entitled “Life Of A Don” scheduled to be released later this Fall.
